Greetings, I'm The New Weather Blogger For Redlands Patch

Get to know your new weather blogger and find out what the television cannot provide. A true micro-climate forecast update when bad weather strikes. And how long will this warm weather last?

My name is Kevin Martin.  I am the owner and meteorologist at Southern California Weather Authority.com, a special weather service for Southern California.  I am 28 years of age and have been doing weather for over 15 years, ten of those professionally with clients.

My goal to you here at Patch.com is to give you in-depth analysis and forecast updates on the coming weather events that may affect your lives.  Some of my updates may in fact save your life and you may become accustomed to it.

I am not like a television weather person.  I run a real weather office that issues alerts such as wind advisories, flood watches, thunderstorm watches, and many other watches.  These alerts are specialized products.  I look forward to serving Redlands Patch as a weather blogger and help expand the quality of weather updates on the section.

For my first forecast we talk about the warm weather.  It's been very nice lately, a true flip of the switch from the cold weather we had five days ago.  This is due to a ridge of high pressure that has gripped our area.  How long will it last?

Well this ridge will stick around for at least a week longer, then we break it down by Wednesday of this next week.  After that,  between January 25th and the 30th we may see a return to stormy conditions once again.  So this is what I'll be monitoring as we open the storm window back up.

The SCWXA Forecast Product is a specialty product issued by Southern California Weather Authority.com -  Southern California's Public Choice for Weather Alerts.
