It's Raining, It's Pouring, It's ... hailing?

Patch caught some footage of the hail that briefly hit the Inland Empire on Monday afternoon.

Rain was in the forecast for the region all this week.

But some Local Patch Editors briefly dealt with some hail in Rancho Cucamonga, a central meeting point for a few of us.

Hail smaller than the size of a pea came pouring down around 4 p.m.

The Diamond Bar and Walnut area will continue to have a 20 percent chance of showers before 10 p.m., according to National Weather service officials. A hazardous weather outlook has been declared in the area for the rest of the evening.

Temperatures tonight were expected to remain partly cloudy, with a low around 43 degrees, weather officials said.

Tuesday should be mostly sunny, with a high near 59 degrees. Nighttime should be partly cloudy, with a low around 42 degrees.

In Loma Linda and the Redlands area, NWS officials said showers and possibly a thunderstorm are likely before 10 p.m. And some of the storms could produce small hail. It should be mostly cloudy, with a low around 39 degrees.

Tuesday should be mostly sunny, with a high near 57 degrees. At night, there will be a 30 percent of rain with a low around 41 degrees.

NWS officials declared a hazardous weather outlook in the Inland Empire area and said they expect a second round of showers associated with this storm system, to move through tonight bring more rain and dropping the snow levels in the mountains to 4,000.

The gusty winds (noted on the video) were expected to increase. High winds warnings were issued by the weather service for the mountains and deserts.
