Congraulations Mike. You just got some help on your opposition to the solid waste rate increase to support street repairs. Bill Cunningham has an excellent "our readers say" letter in today's Facts outlining the flaws he sees in the proposed Redland's utility rate increase. There is a Prop 218 vote on this, but the process is very biased against the opposition -- almost unheard of in large areas to win. We all support getting our streets fixed, but he makes some strong augments that's this is not a cost effective way of doing it???? Looks like you'll have to sign up for a .99 cents one month online subscription to the Facts if you want to read. I like to online edition, but since I subscribe to the print edition I am not going there.

Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. Does Safie exemplify the tenets of that organization?

David, as of last week, I am getting the paper delivered to my home. I guess, Bill Cunningham and I think alike. I agree what he wrote on the facts. I got few more protest aginst water rate increse sumbitted thourgh my website. www.mikesaifie.com I will be taking those to City Clark on Tuesday. But they are not enough. We need 11,000 letters submitted to Council before this bill can be defeated. Mike Saifie
