Advisory: Citizens of Loma Linda and Grand Terrace

Advisory: Citizens of Loma Linda and Grand Terrace are experiencing false solicitation from persons posing as IRS Agents.

Hi shawn smigel,

There are growing concerns from citizens of Loma Linda and Grand Terrace communities regarding unknown subjects posing as Internal Revenue Service employees. These persons who call from out of the country are attempting to obtain personal identification and/or financial information from citizens. If the information is not provided, the threat of arrest for non-compliance is given to the citizen.

If you feel you have encountered a similar incident, where the caller is demanding this type of information, do not release the information. Obtain the caller's name and contact number and notify the IRS to confirm the caller is a valid employee of that department.
