It's Human Nature To Stress.

The number one thing our clients tell me is how their human's stress out over sending them to board, or as many of us like to call it... doggy camp. Especially for the first time. So here's some tips to help relieve their anxiety...
Have them clearly write out the name, location and phone number of where they will be staying, as well as the number of the cell phone they will have with them. Even if they are on a cruise out in the middle of the ocean, the ships have satellite communication systems. Once settled on board, have them ask the concierge to send the facility the ship's email or other direct contact  information. This will reduce your human's worrying about how you're doing. And be sure to remind them to tip the concierge the customary three biscuits.
If the kids are stressing, have them take part in getting you ready to go by measuring out your kibble into zip-lock bags as individual AM & PM meals. This will make serving you easier for the facility staff and ease the kids stress by knowing they helped. Also when Mom's not looking... tell them to slip an extra treat into the PM dinner bags for dessert.
Then there's how they always worry how much you might miss them. Since they all have old t-shirts, have them all sleep in one, then tie it into a knot. This will not only provide you with a great scent item to sleep with, it'll give Mom a way to finally get rid of Dad's nasty old ones.
The bottom line for us dogs is, it's simply human nature for them to worry the way they do. So just give them a lick when they drop you off and be ready to make a big show when you reunite. That along with these easy tips will help them to relax the next time. And.. allow you to have a more pleasant vacation as well, by not stressing over their stressing.
