Cause of Fire at Vacant Home on Laramie in Redlands Being Investigated

The fire was reported about 2:40 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of Laramie, Redlands spokesman Carl Baker said.

A vacant home caught fire early Oct. 18 on Laramie Avenue near Judson Street in east Redlands, a city spokesman said.

The fire was reported about 2:40 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of Laramie, Redlands spokesman Carl Baker said.

"Upon arrival firefighters found an unoccupied single story residence with the attic and four bedrooms fully involved," Baker said. "The fire was knocked down in 31 minutes."

No injuries were reported. Damage to the building and its contents was estimated at $150,000, Baker said.

The cause of the fire was said to be under investigation.
