Collision with Big Rig Leaves One Dead

Investigators are looking into why a man slammed into the back of a big rig without attempting to stop.

San Bernardino County Coroner's investigators are looking into why a 20-year-old motorist slammed into the back of a big rig without attempting to stop Monday.

San Bernardino County deputy coroners did not release the man’s name as of late Tuesday. The crash was reported at 11:48 a.m.

California Highway Patrol officials said the man was northbound on Etiwanda Avenue in unincorporated San Bernardino County in a 2000 Dodge pick-up when he approached a semi-truck. But he never stopped, coroner’s officials said.
