Colton Man Arrested in Grand Terrace Burglary
An alert witness helped tip off Sheriff's deputies to the crime and help identify the suspect.
San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Colton man Friday after a month-long investigation in a Grand Terrace home burglary.
Deputy Bernabe Ortiz was flagged down just after noon Dec. 2 by a person reporting a burglary at a nearby home. The witness was able to give Ortiz a description of the suspect and a partial license plate to the getaway car.
Police investigated the claim, and found that the home had hundreds of dollars in missing items as well as property damage.

Further investigation found the suspect car, as well as two subjects associated with the vehicle. The witness was able to identify one of the subjects as well as the vehicle.
With that, officers arrested Brandon Cornell Ligon, 32, of Colton, and has been charged with burglary. He was also found to have three warrants from Riverside County.

He is being held at the Central Detention Facility on a total of $85,000 bail for the burglary and failure to appear charges, as well as $25,000 in holds for the previous violations.
None of the stolen property has been recovered.
