Deputies Seek Info on Mailbox Thefts in East Highland

Deputies were seeking info Monday about recent mailbox thefts and vandalism in East Highland.

July 27: Four community mailboxes were vandalized and mail was stolen in the 30300 block of Mission Road, and the 7900 block of Santa Angela. During one of the thefts a black four-door sedan was seen leaving the area of one of the vandalized mailboxes. 

July 18: Two community mailboxes were vandalized and mail was stolen in the 30200 block of Frontera Del Norte.

July 15: Three separate reports of community mailboxes that had been broken into in the 29000 block of Lake View Lane and the 7400 block of Autumn Chase.

"All of the incidents appear to be related and are currently under investigation," Highland Station personnel said in a statement. "All residents are encouraged to check their mail daily and not leave outgoing mail in the mailbox overnight. "

Deputies also urged residents to report suspicious persons and vehicles, particularly in the late night and early morning hours. The Highland Station can be reached at (909) 425-9793.
