Devore Pancake Breakfast to Recruit Citizen Patrol Volunteers for Loma Linda

The event is scheduled 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday Sept. 8 at the Devore Fire Station, 1151 Devore Road.

San Bernardino County sheriff's Central Station personnel, who serve the communities of Loma Linda, Grand Terrace and county areas of the city of San Bernardino, are recruiting volunteers to join their Citizens on Patrol unit.

Anyone interested is asked to attend a pancake breakfast, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday Sept. 8 at the Devore Fire Station, 1151 Devore Road.

The Citizen Patrol is a team of trained volunteers "who serve as the eyes and ears for law enforcement," a Sheriff's Department announcement said. The program is designed for volunteers who have an interest in helping law enforcement and the community.
