Fawnskin Woman Fatally Injured in Mountain Collision, Dies in Loma Linda

The crash occurred about 1:15 p.m. Jan. 5 on the 330 just south of the City Creek ranger station.

A motorist was fatally injured Saturday in a head-on crash south of Running Springs on State Route 330 in the mountains north of Redlands and Loma Linda, according to the coroner.

About 1:15 p.m. Jan. 5, Robyn Hein, 45, of Fawnskin, was driving a Ford Ranger south on the 330 when she collided with a northbound vehicle just south of the City Creek ranger station, coroner's personnel said in a statement.

Hein was transported by ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she died from her injuries at 5:41 p.m., the statement said.

Fawnskin is on the north side of Big Bear Lake. The California Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
