On Friday, Redlands Police will be looking for motorcyclists driving dangerously.

According to the Redlands Police Department, four people were arrested for drunken driving during a checkpoint last weekend, and 22 drivers were cited for speeding during a traffic enforcement operation on Monday.

In a press release, the city’s Public Information Officer Carl Baker announced that Redlands Police will also hold a grant-funded traffic enforcement operation this Friday targeting "dangerous and aggressive" motorcycle riders and those driving under the influence.

During last weekend's sobriety checkpoint at Citrus Avenue and Church Street, two people were cited for driving with a suspended license and one for having an open container of alcohol. On Monday, 22 drivers were cited between 5:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. by Redlands Police for speeding near Lugonia Avenue, Colton Avenue, Lincoln Street and San Mateo Street. One driver was cited for not wearing a seatbelt, one for running a stop sign, and two for driving with suspended licenses.
