Highland Man Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on State Route 18 in Running Springs
The crash was reported at 5:32 p.m. Sept. 19 on the 18 south of Live Oak Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Highland man was fatally injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday on State Route 18 in the mountains north of Redlands and Loma Linda.

The driver of a 2008 Ford Escape was southbound on SR 18 when, for an unknown reason, the Ford veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a utility truck, the coroner reported.

The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead on scene. He was identified as Sean Gates, 43, of Highland, the coroner reported.
The CHP was investigating.
