HOMICIDE UPDATE: Moreno Valley Man Shot Jan. 20 Died Next Day at LLUMC

Shots fired were reported just after 2 a.m. Jan. 20 in the 1500 block of West Redlands Boulevard and responding police found a 22-year-old man wounded by gunfire.

Update 4:23 p.m. The identity of the man who was shot Jan. 20 in Redlands and died the next day was released Thursday afternoon by San Bernardino County coroner's personnel.

Kevon Marquise Decatur-Webber, 22, of Moreno Valley, was wounded early Jan. 20 in the 1500 block of West Redlands Boulevard and he was pronounced deceased at 6:03 p.m. Jan. 21 at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Supervising Deputy Coroner Gabriel Morales said in a phone interview.

Posted 3:43 p.m. A man who was shot early Jan. 20 on Redlands Boulevard died the next day and his death was being investigated as a homicide, police announced Thursday Jan. 31.

Shots fired were reported just after 2 a.m. Jan. 20 in the 1500 block of West Redlands Boulevard and responding police found a 22-year-old man wounded by gunfire, Redlands spokesman Carl Baker said.

"Redlands Fire Department paramedics provided medical aid," Baker said. "The victim was transported to a local hospital. The victim died of his wounds on Jan. 21."

Asked Jan. 31 for the deceased man's name and hometown, Baker responded, "Not being released at this time."
