Investigators Search for Woman Who They Say Stabbed Repo Man

Authorities say Christina Johnson tried to kill her victim by stabbing him several times as he tried to take back her recently purchased car.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies ask the public’s help in finding a woman they say tried to kill a man who was repossessing her vehicle on Friday.

Authorities said the incident began noon when a repo man tried to repossess a black, 2008 Subaru Impreza, four-door, from Christina Johnson, 47. The car was found at the Cedar Glen Post Office in the mountain town of Cedar Glen.

The vehicle had been reported stolen because Johnson used fraudulent information to purchase it, sheriff’s officials said. The victim was retrieving the car for the dealer when Johnson reportedly came out and confronted him.

During the argument, investigators said Johnson grabbed a knife from the vehicle and stabbed the victim about five times in the back, wrist and arm. As she fled Johnson rammed the Subaru into the victim's truck several times and tried to hit the victim, officials said. She has not been seen since.

The victim was flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Deputies and the California Highway Patrol searched for Johnson but did not find her or her car.
