Man Accused in Sex Scandal Changes Plea

Jason Henry Anguiano has accepted a plea bargain and has since pleaded guilty.

A Rialto man accused of having sex with a 16-year-old girl has accepted an agreement with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse.

Jason Henry Anguiano withdrew his original plea of not guilty Thursday before San Bernardino Superior Court Judge Michael Dest.

Anguiano has agreed to serve three years probation, 180 days in county jail and will have to complete sexual offenders treatment program and submit to HIV/AIDS testing, San Bernardino District Attorney officials said. He is scheduled to be formally sentenced Aug. 4.

Anguiano and now former Highland Deputy Nathan Gastineau, of Redlands, were arrested in April after allegations surfaced that the two had sexual intercourse with a then 16-year-old girl.
