Juvenile Suspected of Vandalism is Arrested

This is the second time in two weeks police have arrested a minor while reportedly in the act of vandalism.

Grand Terrace/Loma Linda Police on Sunday arrested a juvenile they said was caught in the act of vandalizing property.

The boy, who was not identified because of his age, was with another juvenile when the officer spotted him at 10:37 p.m. in the area of Barton Road and Palm Avenue in Grand Terrace.

The officer stopped to speak to the boy because it was past the city’s curfew for minors.

Officer said they found the boy had a spray can. The juvenile’s hands were also allegedly covered in paint.

Deputies conducted a check of the area and found freshly spray painted graffiti. The boy was taken into custody and issued a notice to appear in juvenile court and then released to his guardian.

On Nov. 11, investigators said a Grand Terrace/Loma Linda police officer discovered a boy about 11:30 p.m. near a business at 22400 Barton Road in Grand Terrace.

The officer spotted the youngster standing near a business that was closed for the night. Freshly painted graffiti was also found scrawled in the area. The juvenile was arrested and booked at juvenile hall on suspicion of felony vandalism.
