Loma Linda Man Accused of Driving Under Influence of Alcohol, Hit-and-Run

Daniel Armando Mirano, 19, of Loma Linda, was booked on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run with injuries, according to inmate records.

A motorist sustained minor injuries in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday in Loma Linda, where deputies caught the driver who fled and accused him of driving under the influence of alcohol.

An injury hit-and-run crash was reported at Redlands Boulevard and Poplar Street in Loma Linda at 1:17 p.m. Oct. 23, Central Station personnel said in a statement.

The victim driver with minor injuries provided deputies with a license plate number from the fleeing vehicle, and one of the deputies found the vehicle and suspect driver in the Poplar Street Apartments complex, according to sheriff's Detective Ken Owens.

The suspect driver, identified as Daniel Armando Mirano, 19, of Loma Linda, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run with injuries, according to inmate records.

Mirano was booked at Central Detention Center in San Bernardino on $100,000 bail, Owens said. He was released Wednesday afternoon, according to inmate records.
