Loma Linda Man Arrested on Suspicion of Attempt Vehicle Burglary at RV Park

The suspect was identified as Darwin Henry Buschke, a 52-year-old transient, according to the Sheriff's Department.

A Loma Linda man was arrested early Monday on suspicion of attempted vehicle burglary, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Darwin Henry Buschke, 52, was arrested at Mission RV Park, 26397 Redlands Blvd. in Loma Linda, Central Station personnel said in a statement. Buschke was identified as a transient.

Deputies were called to the location at 4:46 a.m. July 9, to check reports of a white man looking into parked cars and attempting to enter them, according to the Sheriff's Department.

"The park manager watched as the suspect, a white male adult who was later identified as Darwin Buschke, walked through the park and looked through vehicles, and checking door handles," the Central Station statement said.

A deputy on foot was flagged down by a witness who had the suspect standing next to him, deputies said. The suspect saw the deputy and ran east on Redlands Boulevard. Two deputies chased the man and took him into custody.

Buschke was arrested and booked at Central Detention Center, where he was Tuesday held on $25,000 bail, according to inmate records.

Buschke had previously been in state custody but due to Assembly Bill 109 he was released, according to the Sheriff's Department.
