Loma Linda Officers Hunt for Burglar

A burglar stole more than $10,000 worth of items from a Gwent Street home.

Loma Linda Police are asking the public’s help in finding a burglar who stole more than $10,000 worth of items from a home.

The burglary was reported at 9:03 p.m. Friday in the 26000 block of Gwent Street. The residents themselves discovered the break-in and called authorities.

Investigators said the burglar arrived at the home by bicycle and entered through a bedroom window. Officers called in the Sheriff's Aviation Division to search for the thief, but were unable to find anyone.

While officers were investigating at the Gwent Street home, a burglar broke into an unsecured garage in the 26000 block of Lawton Avenue took a gray mountain bike. Officers believe the break-ins are connected.

An investigation is ongoing, but officials are asking for additional leads. They ask anyone with information about this case to call Deputy J. Beaver (909) 387-3545.
