Loma Linda Police Arrest Suspected Farm Equipment Thieves

The victim reported the theft after he finding the stolen farm equipment at a Colton Scrapyard.

Two men accused of stealing farm equipment were recently arrested in Loma Linda.

The victim met with Loma Linda Police Officer Daryll Smith on Thursday at the corner of Anderson Street and Academy Avenue where he explained that he had found his stolen farm equipment at a Colton scrap yard, officials said.

Officer Smith identified Reginald Campbell and Sopheap Kong as the men who allegedly had the items before they ended up in the scrap yard. Officials said found the two in the area of Caroline Street and Waterman Avenue in San Bernardino, near their home.

The officer reportedly recovered more stolen items at the suspects’ home and in their vehicle, police officials said.

Campbell and Kong were arrested and taken to Central Station for interviews. Campbell was later booked into Central Detention Center. Kong was released from the station pending further investigation.
