Man Accused in Connection with Redlands and Rancho Cucamonga Auto Thefts, Located in Beaumont

A San Bernardino man was locked up Tuesday morning in connection with two auto thefts in Redlands and a vehicle stolen from Rancho Cucamonga, according to Redlands police.

Marcus David Tafolla, 23, of San Bernardino, was located by Redlands police Monday night in Beaumont, according to police spokesman Carl Baker.

Tafolla was held on $50,000 bail Tuesday morning at Central Detention Center on suspicion of burglary and receiving a stolen vehicle, according to inmate records.

The auto thefts in Redlands were reported Monday at LA Fitness, 1035 Parkford Drive, and at Panorama Point, Baker said.

"Tafolla was located in Beaumont where officers also located a vehicle stolen earlier out of Rancho Cucamonga," Baker said. "Inside the vehicle Redlands officers located stolen property from the two Redlands vehicle thefts."

Tafolla was arrested just before 11 p.m. July 29 near a golf course in Beaumont, Baker said.

Beaumont police dispatch and a spokeswoman for the City of Beaumont referred questions about the incident to Redlands police.
