Man Arrested After Shooting at Apartment

Two known gang members were arrested in Colton after one was involved in an argument at a Loma Linda apartment complex that ended in gunfire. No one was injured.

Two active gang members were arrested in Colton on Wednesday after one of them made criminal threats and fired shots at an apartment complex in Loma Linda.

About 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jermaine Wall, 32, of Colton, arrived at an apartment complex in the 24500 block of University Avenue and began arguing with a person at the complex about an EBT card, according to a San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department news release.

Wall allegedly began arguing with the victim, and then followed the victim to their apartment. Wall yelled at the victim, threatening to return with a gun to shoot the victim. He then tried to enter the apartment unsuccessfully. Witnesses and the victim saw Wall then drive to the east end of the complex, where witnesses say he fired a small, black pistol eight times in the air before driving off in a blue Chevrolet SUV.

Witnesses identified Wall as the man shooting the gun. Police found eight .25 caliber bullet casings at the scene, and two bullet holes in the apartment building. No one was hurt.

Wall was found to be on parole in San Bernardino County, and his parole agent confirmed his Colton address, in the 1400 block of Santo Antonio Drive. Wall was seen driving into the complex in the blue SUV, and was arrested at his apartment, and deputies obtained a search warrant.

Wall was taken to the Central Detention Center and booked on charges of shooting at an inhabited dwelling, making criminal threats and a parole violation. He is being held without bail. Epps was booked for a parole violation at the Central Detention Center and is also being held without bail.
