A man was injured Friday morning in a crash on Interstate 10 near Yucaipa and he died later at Loma Linda University Medical Center, coroner's personnel reported.
The crash occurred about 5:40 a.m. July 5 when a black 2001 Jeep Cherokee was westbound on the 10 about a half-mile north of County Line Road, coroner's personnel said in a statement.
The Jeep struck the back of a big-rig and rolled onto the right shoulder, coroner's personnel said. Three occupants of the Jeep were injured in the accident and taken to local hospitals.
One of the passengers in the Jeep, Michael Anthony Jaurigue, 57, of San Bernardino, was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased at 1:40 p.m. July 5 following surgery, coroner's personnel said.
The California Highway Patrol was investigating.
