Man is Suspected of Breaking into Vehicle in Loma Linda Parking Lot

Loma Linda Police say 46-year-old Blayne Robertson, a parolee, fled after he was confronted by the vehicle's owner.

A man suspected of trying to steal a vehicle from the Loma Linda University Medical Center Library was arrested after he was confronted by the vehicle’s owner.

About 11 p.m. Tuesday, Loma Linda Police officials got a report there was a burglary in progress. He was inside the vehicle when the owner confronted him, police officials said.

The man, later identified by police as 46-year-old Blayne Robertson, a parolee, ran from the vehicle but was stopped and held by medical center security, officials said.

Police say Robertson had an active felony arrest warrant for possession of stolen property. Robertson was booked into San Bernardino County Sheriff’s West Valley Detention on suspicion of vehicle burglary, a parole violation and in connection with an active warrant.
