Man on Bicycle Wounded in Shooting Near Brockton, Redlands PD Investigate

Multiple gunshots were reported about 5:20 a.m. May 19 in the area of Brockton Avenue and Lombard Street, a spokesman for the police department said.

A 36-year-old man on a bicycle was wounded by gunfire Saturday morning in Redlands and police were investigating, a department spokesman said in a statement.

The shooting was reported about 5:20 a.m. May 19, when police received a report of multiple gunshots heard in the area of Brockton Avenue and Lombard Street, Redlands spokesman Carl Baker said.

"Upon arrival, officers located a 36-year-old male victim," Baker said in a statement distributed Saturday afternoon. "The man had been riding a bicycle east on Brockton when he was struck by gunfire."

Redlands Fire Department paramedics treated the victim on scene, Baker said. He was then transported to a local hospital where he was said to be in stable condition.
