Man Walking on Calimesa Boulevard Struck by Honda, Dies in Loma Linda

Elpidio Estrada, 73, was walking east in the 33600 block of Calimesa Boulevard at 6:11 a.m. Dec. 3 when he was struck by a westbound 2004 Honda Odyssey, according to the coroner.

A Yucaipa man who was walking on Calimesa Boulevard was struck by a van Monday morning and died of his injuries at Loma Linda University Medical Center, the San Bernardino County coroner reported Tuesday.

Elpidio Estrada, 73, was walking east in the 33600 block of Calimesa Boulevard at 6:11 a.m. Dec. 3 when he was struck by a westbound 2004 Honda Odyssey, coroner's personnel said in a statement.

"Estrada was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead," a coroner's statement said.
