Man Who Fled from Police is Sought

Police found 1,000 Ecstasy pills inside a vehicle that the man abandoned.

Redlands Police are searching for a man they say carried about 1,000 Ecstasy pills in his vehicle.

The pills were discovered on Jan. 13 during a DUI checkpoint. Police said they were stopping vehicles and questioning motorists when one driver drove through the cone pattern and fled west into Loma Linda.

The man, described as a stocky, abandoned his 2006 white Honda Pilot in a residential driveway near Mountain View Avenue and Redlands Boulevard. Officers tracked the small SUV and found about 1000 ecstasy capsules inside, officials said.
