More Than a Dozen Reports of Vandals Slashing Tires in South, NE Redlands

The tire-slashings were reported from Sunday night Nov. 25 to Mondy morning Nov. 26, according to Redlands police.

More than a dozen reports of vandals slashing or puncturing vehicle tires were reported overnight Sunday Nov. 25 to Monday Nov. 26 in south Redlands, a police spokesman said Tuesday.

At least 17 incidents had been reported as of Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

"The vandalism occurred over a wide area of the City from Alessandro Road, Monterey Street and others in south Redlands, to Lincoln Street and Stillman Avenue in the northeastern portion of the City," Redlands spokesman Carl Baker said.

At least 10 of the incidents involved white pickup trucks or SUVs, and in most cases at least two tires were either slashed or punctured on each vehicle, Baker said.

"Streets where the vandalism was reported were: Alessandro Road, La Loma Drive, La Arriba Drive, La Feliz Drive, Monterey Street, Cedar Avenue, Cardinal Lane, Central Avenue, Norwood Street, Bond Street, Cajon Street, Lincoln Street and Stillman Avenue," Baker said.
