Police Investigating Series of Unrelated Assaults

Redlands officials were called to three separate incidents that has left two people hospitalized, one in critical condition.

Redlands Police are investigating a series of assaults from the weekend, including a shooting and two stabbings that have left two people still hospitalized.

About 11 p.m. Friday, a fight broke out at a party at a house in the 1700 block of Webster Street. The fight spilled outside, with many of the people inside fleeing outside.

By the time police arrived, two victims had been transported to a local hospital, and a third went to the hospital later. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening, and the victims were treated and released.

Police found 50 to 75 people outside the house, and took statements from many. The suspects only were described as Latino males wearing dark clothing.

All three victims had been attending the party, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the stabbings is asked to contact Detective Kelvin Bryant at (909) 798-7623.

About 1 a.m. Saturday morning, a fight broke out inside Cancun restaurant in the 800 block of Tri-City Center, and spilled outside.

Police say about 30 people were involved in the fight. When officers arrived, they found a 21-year-old male stabbed several times and then struck by a pursuing vehicle.

Paramedics arrived and provided life support services, then transported the victim to a local hospital. The victim is still hospitalized in stable condition.

Investigators say that the victim was attacked by five Latino males in their 20s, who drove away in a light-colored sedan.

About 20 people were involved in a fight that ended with an 18-year-old Mentone male shot and on life support.

The fight broke out about 1 a.m. Sunday at a party in the 800 block of Denise Street. As people started to leave the area on foot and in their vehicles, several shots were fired from one of the leaving vehicles, striking the victim.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

Police are seeking information about the driver of the car and the shooter or shooters. Anyone with information should call Detective Frank Rocha at (909) 798-7580.
