Police Seek Clues in Robbery by Person in Truck
Authorities say that a man pointed a gun at a woman in Redlands from his truck and drove off with her purse.
Redlands Police are looking for a man they say robbed a woman of her purse at gunpoint from the cab of a white utility truck.
Police received a call shortly after 2:30 a.m. Monday after a driver pulled up to the woman in the 900 block of East Lugonia Avenue, pointed a gun and stole her purse, according to a news release.
It was one of three similar incidents being investigated. One happened just before 2 a.m. on Interstate 10 near Tennessee Street, the other happened in Mentone less than 15 minutes after the Redlands incident. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the I-10 incident, and San Bernardino County Sheriff's is investigating the Mentone robbery.

Victim descriptions of the car are similar to the description given by the Redlands victim. The person inside the truck was only described as a male wearing a mask.
No one was injured in any of the incidents, according to the news release.
