Redlands Firefighter Arrested in Assault

He and one other are caught on camera in downtown Redlands. The off-duty firefighter is placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.

Two men, including an off-duty Redlands firefighter, were arrested early Monday morning for assaulting another man in Redlands.

Redlands Police dispatch received a call of an ongoing assault about 1:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Orange Street. were able to capture the attack, and then view the license plate of the suspect's vehicle, a black Chevrolet truck, as it fled the scene, according to Carl Baker, Redlands Police public information officer, in a news release.

Police contacted the two suspects, identified as Joshua Peter Egan, 32, of Yucaipa, and Bradley Robert Memory, 31, of Calimesa.

Egan, the off-duty firefighter, turned himself in to police Monday afternoon. He has been placed on administrative leave pending the results of an internal investigation.

Memory turned himself into police Tuesday. Both were arrested on charges of assault.

The victim, a 23-year-old Moreno Valley man, was treated at scene and released after refusing further treatment.
