Redlands PD Sked DUI Drivers License Checkpoint Late Friday Early Saturday

The checkpoint is scheduled 10 p.m. July 13 to 3 a.m. July 14 on westbound Brookside Avenue between Eureka and Grant streets, according to police.

A checkpoint targeting impaired and unlicensed drivers is scheduled late Friday and early Saturday on Brookside Avenue, a Redlands police spokesman said Tuesday.

The checkpoint is scheduled 10 p.m. July 13 to 3 a.m. July 14 on westbound Brookside Avenue between Eureka and Grant streets, according to police.

On July 5, a total of 36 vehicles passed through a checkpoint in the southbound lanes of Cajon Street between Cypress and Palm avenues, according to police. No arrests were made and no citations issued.

Grant funding for the checkpoint comes from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. More sobriety checkpoints and DUI patrols are expected during an "August/Labor Day DUI Mobilization" beginning August 17, according to police.
