Redlands Police Celebrates Promotions/New Hire

Redlands Police Department promoted four of its sworn personnel and welcomed one new employee and a new volunteer reserve officer to the department.

The Redlands Police Department promoted four of its sworn personnel, including a new lieutenant, and one civilian and welcomed one new employee and a new volunteer reserve officer to the department during a promotion ceremony on March 28.

Chief Mark Garcia administered the Oath of Honor to the newly promoted personnel and the two newest members of the department during the morning ceremony.

Mike Reiss was promoted to lieutenant, filling a spot opened by the retirement of Lt. Rogelio Garcia last year.

Reiss was assigned the position of Special Operations Bureau Commander.

Sgt. Sean Flynn was recently promoted to his current rank.

Officers Esteban Valenzuela and Eddie Herrera were promoted to the rank of corporal/detective.

Staffer Shayna Walker was promoted to the newly created position of Operations Manager, responsible for managing most of the civilian personnel in the department, including communications, fleet and records personnel.

The department also welcomed newly hired Forensic Specialist Eloise Tankersley.

Amanda Liabeuf joined the Redlands Police Department as a volunteer Reserve Officer. Liabeuf is currently working for the Snowline Unified School district as a substitute teacher.
