Tip-A-Cop benefit to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Hospital
Accustomed to handing out crime-prevention and public safety tips, Redlands Police officers will be accepting tips to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital on Monday, Sept. 9, at Chili’s Grill & Bar.
Redlands Police officers and other RPD personnel will be waiting tables at the restaurant at 10020 Alabama St. from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, as part of the Tip-A-Cop effort benefiting St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
The event is part of Chili’s efforts to raise money for the St. Jude Children's Hospital as part of its month-long Create-A-Pepper to Fight Childhood Cancer campaign. The September Create-A-Pepper campaign, held at participating Chili's restaurants nationwide, honors National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
Founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas and based in Memphis, Tenn., St. Jude freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world.
No family ever pays for treatments not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay. St. Jude is financially supported by ALSAC, its fundraising organization. For more information, please visit www.stjude.org.
