When they arrived at Greenspot and Orange Street, they found a 2004 Nissan 350Z two-door sports car stopped in the number one westbound lane of Greenspot west of Orange, "and Muschwitz lying unconscious in the same lane just east of the vehicle," deputies said.

"Medical aid arrived a short time later and transported the female to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased," deputies said. "The Nissan had severe damage to the front hood and windshield area."

There is no paved sidewalk on either side of the road in the area where Muschwitz was struck, Cruz told Redlands-Loma Linda Patch.
