REMINDER: Redlands Town Hall Meeting with Police and Fire Chiefs

A City of Redlands town hall meeting with Police Chief Mark Garcia and Fire Chief Jeff Frazier is scheduled at 6 p.m. Wednesday June 26 in City Council Chambers.

The meeting will include social media participation, according to a city spokesman.

Frazier and Garcia will answer questions from the audience in chambers about public safety issues, as well as questions submitted via email and "live" from the police and fire departments' Facebook pages, Redlands spokesman Carl Baker said.

Questions can be emailed in advance or during the meeting to Lt. Travis Martinez at tmartinez@redlandspolice.org, to Chief Frazier at jfrazier@confire.org. Garcia's email was not distributed with a city announcement about the meeting.

Questions can also be submitted in advance or during the meeting on the Redlands Police Department's Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/RedlandsPoliceDepartment, and on the Redlands Fire Department's Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/RedlandsFireDepartment.

"Questions will be answered live online as time permits," Baker said.

All are welcome at the meeting and there is no cost to attend, Baker said. Spanish translation will be available at the meeting and online. The meeting will be televised live to cable customers on Redlands TV.

"By televising the meeting and taking questions via email and Facebook the departments hope to accommodate residents and address concerns of those who have other commitments or obligations but wish to have specific questions answered," Baker said.

City Hall and Council Chambers are at 35 Cajon St.
