Rollover Crash on WB 10 in Loma Linda Backs Up Traffic, One Hospitalized

The crash was reported about 1 p.m. on westbound Interstate 10 just east of the Tippecanoe-Anderson exit, CHP officers at the scene said.

A single-vehicle rollover crash on westbound Interstate 10 in Loma Linda left the driver hospitalized and hundreds of motorists backed up across all four westbound lanes Sunday afternoon.

The crash was reported about 1 p.m. on westbound Interstate 10 just east of the Tippecanoe-Anderson exit, California Highway Patrol officers at the scene said.

The driver of a white four-door sedan apparently lost control, and the vehicle left the freeway and overturned on the sloping dirt shoulder west of the Richardson Street overpass and Mountain View Avenue.

Loma Linda firefighters responded and the motorist was the only person transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center, complaining of pain, a CHP officer at the scene said.

The CHP closed the slow lane for a tow truck, and the crash scene was declared clear at 2:09 p.m.
