Second Man in Teen Sex Scandal is Arraigned

Jason Anguiano, of Rialto, pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object and one count of unlawful sexual intercourse.

One of two men accused of having a sexual relationship with a minor he met through a fan club/charity organization pleaded not guilty Tuesday.

Jason Anguiano, 27, of Rialto, faces two counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object and one count of unlawful sexual intercourse, according to court documents.

He appeared before Judge Michael Dest in San Bernardino Superior Court and is scheduled to have a pre-preliminary conference on July 7, officials said.

Anguiano and former San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy Nathan Gastineau, 31, of Redlands are charged with molesting the same young woman.

The men were arrested in April. The girl reportedly met Anguiano through the Inland Empire Ghostbusters, a nonprofit organization for fans of the film.

Gastineau was first to be arrested. The Sheriff’s Department placed him on administrative leave. He had been coordinator for the Explorer program at the Highland Sheriff's station. The girl had been a member of the program.

Most of the focus has been on the former deputy. That focused increased after famed attorney Gloria Allred announced she was representing the victim and attended Gastineau’s June 21 arraignment. Friends and family have rallied around Gastineau.

Both men have pleaded not guilty. Gastineau was released after posting $150,000 bail. Anguiano was handcuffed after the judge set his bail at $225,000.
