A missed stop sign and the pungent aroma of marijuana reportedly led to the arrest of a Riverside man and a juvenile on Saturday.

The two were in a vehicle that an officer with the Grand Terrace/Loma Linda Police said ran a stop sign in the area of Michigan Avenue and Deberry Street in Grand Terrace.

The officer who approached the vehicle detected the strong smell of marijuana, according to a sheriff’s news release. A search of the vehicle turned up 51 baggies of marijuana and other items used in the sales of marijuana, officials said. The juvenile was also found to be in possession of several baggies of marijuana.
