Updated: Suspects in 2011 Shooting of Redlands Teens Scheduled for Court Hearing

John Legaspi and three others have been charged in the January 2011 deaths of Quinn McCaleb and Andrew Jackson in a Redlands apartment complex.

Four men suspected in the shooting death of two Redlands teens is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday in preparation for a preliminary hearing.

John Legaspi, John David Salazar, Adrian Powers and Jose Ramon Lara are scheduled to appear at 8:30 a.m. in Department 21, San Bernardino Superior Court.

A tentative date of Dec. 6 has been set for the preliminary hearing, according to a court spokesman.

Three of the men are accused of fatally shooting 17-year-old Quinn McCaleb and 16-year-old Andrew Jackson as they walked with friends through Cinnamon Creek Apartments on Oxford Drive in Redlands in Jan. 2011. Lara has been charged as an accessory after the fact.

Two other teens were wounded and a fifth escaped physical injury.

The four suspects were arrested in March.
