Suspect in Fatal Bloomington Shooting Stopped in Redlands Booked for Murder

The shooting was reported Monday evening in the 17800 block of Santa Ana Avenue in Bloomington. David Sean Follman, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner reported.

A man was shot dead Monday evening in Bloomington and the suspected gunman was found in Redlands and arrested on suspicion of murder, according to the San Bernardino County sheriff's department.

The shooting was reported about 7 p.m. Monday in the 17800 block of Santa Ana Avenue in Bloomington.

Deputies from the sheriff's Fontana Station found the victim, David Sean Follman, 34, of Blommington, unresponsive from a gunshot wound to the upper body, according to the sheriff's department.

Follman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect was identified as Wesley Ray Elliott,29, of Bloomington, and he was located in Redlands during a traffic stop, according to the sheriff's department.

Elliott was arrested and booked at Central Detention Centerin San Bernardino on suspicion of murder.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death, according to the sheriff's department.
