Two Arrested With Stolen Vehicle in Grand Terrace

Officers found the vehicle thanks to a theft-monitoring service alert.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies arrested two men after finding a stolen vehicle with help from a stolen vehicle monitoring service.

The deputy was patrolling in Grand Terrace about 3:45 a.m. Saturday when he got an alert from LoJack that a stolen vehicle was in his vicinity, near the intersection of Barton Road and Mt. Vernon Avenue, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. The deputy searched, and found the vehicle travelling westbound on Barton Road near Washington Avenue.

Deputies pulled the car over, and identified the suspects as Kavin Johnson, 23, and Jayshawn Mims, 18, both of San Bernardino. They were both arrested without incident. The undamaged vehicle, stolen from Riverside earlier in the morning, was released to the owner at the scene.
