Two Burglary Suspects Arrested in Loma Linda

Police say the men, both Highland residents, were in possession of rims and tires stolen from vehicles in Loma Linda.

Loma Linda Police has arrested two men they say were in possession of rims and tires stolen from vehicles in the city.

Constantino Hall, 46, and Daniel Looney, 22, were booked into the central detention center on suspicion of conspiracy and possession of stolen property.

A Loma Linda police officer first spotted the men at 2:56 a.m., while on patrol Snowden Avenue near Cardigan Place.  Hall and Looney, had been standing next to a vehicle parked on Snowden, officials said.

When officer Patrick Leon tried to approach the men, Looney ran, police officials said.  Officers arrived within minutes and found Looney hiding in bushes in a nearby community park.  Police said Hall is on parole and Looney was on felony probation. 

In Looney's car, parked nearby, police said they found burglary tools and cinder blocks used in previous thefts of rims and tires in Loma Linda. Investigators served a search warrant at Looney's home and say they recovered several stolen rims and tires with an estimated value of $5,810.

Investigators suspect there may be more victims. They ask anyone who may have been a victim or who has any information on the burglaries or the men to call the Sheriff's Central Station at 909 387-3545.  Witnesses who wish to remain anonymous can contact WE-TIP at 1-800-78-CRIME.
