Two Ontario Brothers Arrested in Loma Linda, Accused of Vehicle Burglaries

Richard Moss Craig and and Ronald were held Monday morning at Central Detention on $300,000 bail each, according to inmate records.

Two Ontario men were arrested Saturday in Loma Linda and accused of multiple vehicle burglaries, deputies said Monday.

Loma Linda deputies were called out at 4:56 a.m. Oct. 20 to Mountain View Avenue and Barton Road where a vehicle burglary was reported in progress, sheriff's Central Station personnel said in a statement.

Two men in a white pickup had just broken into a vehicle and fled, deputies said. Deputies located the suspects in the pickup about two blocks away, near Mountain View and Van Leuven Street.

The men were identified as brothers Richard Moss Craig, 43, and Ronald Daniel Craig, 33, both of Ontario, and they were taken into custody, deputies said.

"When Deputies searched the pick-up several items were located and later confirmed stolen from other vehicle burglaries," Central Station personnel said.

The vehicle and stolen property were towed to the for evidence processing and the Craig brothers were transported to the Central Detention Center where they were booked for burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, and possession of stolen property, deputies said.

Law enforcement served a search warrant at their residence in Ontario later in the day, deputies said.

"Several items believed to be stolen were located at the residence and taken as evidence," Central Station personnel said. "The brothers are believed to be responsible for several burglaries in cities all around the Inland Empire."
