Two Yucaipa Women, 40 and 56, Searched and Accused of Drug Offenses

Two women were searched Wednesday and accused of drug-related offenses at a residence in Yucaipa, deputies said Thursday.

Deputies with the Yucaipa Multi Enforcement Team served a search warrant in the 35300 block of Avenue H just after 11 a.m. Jan. 9, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Deputies found unspecified "illegal narcotics" and drug paraphernalia inside the home, Yucaipa Station personnel said in a statement.

Debbie Cutherell, 40, and Tammy Nichols, 56, both of Yucaipa, were placed under arrest, deputies said.

Cutherell was booked at Central Detention Center in San Bernardino on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and committing a felony while out on bail, deputies said.

Nichols was booked on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and released after booking, deputies said.

Cutherell was released from the lockup Thursday afternoon, according to inmate records.
