Wife Arrested in Fatal Walnut Stabbing of Husband

The woman, who also suffered injuries, is now being held on $1 million bail in the Wednesday attack.

A woman suspected of stabbing her husband to death was arrested this afternoon.

Socorro Mora, a 43-year-old Walnut woman, is being charged on suspicion of murder, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Lillian Peck. Mora is being held on more than $1 million bail. She was taken into custody by Walnut Sheriff's personnel. No other suspects are outstanding, Peck said.

On Wednesday, sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 8:50 a.m. from Mora about a domestic dispute. When deputies arrived at the home in the 21600 block of Brookside Court, they found Mora outside bleeding from stab wounds and her husband George Mora, 47, inside the home dead, authorities said.
