Woman Accused of Stabbing Repo Man Arrested

The woman avoided law-enforcement for three days before she was found.

A woman wanted by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Detectives for allegedly stabbing a man who was repossessing her car was arrested Monday.

Christina Johnson, 47, was taken into custody at a home in the 39000 block of Willow Landing in Big Bear Lake. Deputies also found the 2008 Subaru Impreza the victim was trying to repossess.

The stabbing happened about noon on Feb. 10, officials said. The repo man was taking the Impreza he found parked at the Cedar Glen Post Office in the mountain town of Cedar Glen, officials said.

The vehicle had been reported stolen because Johnson used fraudulent information to purchase it, sheriff’s officials said.

Johnson tried to stop the repossession by confronting the victim. Officials said she grabbed a knife from the car and stabbed the victim some five times in the back, wrist and arm. As she fled Johnson rammed the Subaru into the victim's truck several times and tried to hit the victim, officials said.

He was flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center. She successfully avoided police until the Subaru was spotted at the Big Bear Lake home, officials said.

Johnson was booked into the Central Detention Center on an arrest warrant. She is currently being held on $500,000 bail.
