Woman Arrested in Loma Linda Burglary

A 51-year-old Yucaipa woman is in custoday and suspected of robbing numerous area Stater Bros. markets.

A 51-year-old Yucaipa woman was arrested Wednesday after a robbery at the Stater Bros. market in Loma Linda, according to a San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department news release.

Deputies responded to the market at 10:54 a.m. after a report of a theft in progress. The suspect fled the area on foot.

Deputies used surveillance video and eyewitness descriptions to track down their suspect, Joyce Cardenas, in the immediate area.

Investigators said Cardenas may have been involved in other similar robberies at neighboring Stater Bros. markets. She was booked into the Central Detention Center on suspicion of burglary.
