Rash of Killings: Young Man Fatally Shot on South Lenore in San Bernardino

A 19-year-old San Bernardino man was pronounced dead in the 200 block of South Lenore Avenue just after 2 a.m. Tuesday, according to the coroner.

A rash of killings continued in San Bernardino this month as a 19-year-old was fatally shot early Tuesday on South Lenore Avenue, according to the coroner.

Gregorio Gonzales Jr., a 19-year-old resident of San Bernardino, was shot in the upper torso in the 200 block of South Lenore and pronounced dead at the scene at 2:03 a.m. May 29, coroner's personnel reported.

Detectives with the San Bernardino Police Department Homicide Unit were investigating.

The coroner and police departments have reported 11 homicides so far in the month of May in San Bernardino, which borders Redlands and Loma Linda.
